2023 Youth Day at Old Forge Fire Department | Saturday, September 16th 2023

Registration for events starts at 7:00 a.m. Skills start at 8:00 am.

Each year, FASNY and the Youth in the Fire Service Committee welcome dozens of Junior Firefighters, Explorers and RAMS, who gather for first-hand experience and a little competition.


Instructional Skill Sessions:

  1. Maze and Forcible Entry:
    1. Using Bullex System w/ weighted hose, Black Out Masks, Tables Forcible Entry Prop
  2. Ladders
    1. Types, Placement, Carrying, etc.
  3. EMS – Old Forge Ambulance
    1. Victim management; packaging, removal, etc.
    2. Possible Medical Helicopter
  4. Exterior Hose Line Advancement Through Maze
